Distinguished Alumni Award

4-H Canada is looking for outstanding 4-H alumni who live the 4-H pledge – every day, and in every way.

The new 4-H Canada Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and leadership of 4-H alumni who have achieved success in a field related to the 4-H Canada Leadership Development Pillars.

4-H Canada presented the first-ever Distinguished Alumni Award to Elaine Froese at the 2019 Leadership Awards in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on January 31, 2019.

Award Recipient

The recipient and their nominator will receive an all-inclusive trip to the 2020 Leadership Awards in Ottawa where they will be recognized alongside other notable award recipients, including the National Volunteer Leader of the Year, L.E.A.D. Scholarship Recipients, and Honourary Members.

Nominations

Nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award open June 1 and are accepted online by 4-H Canada until October 1, 2019 at 4:00 PM ET.

Selection Criteria

The award recipient is selected by a panel of reviewers based on these criteria:

  • Personal accomplishments in a field related to the 4-H Canada Leadership Development Pillars (Community Engagement and Communications, Science & Technology, Environment & Healthy Living, or Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security)
